Scripture: "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." Exodus 3:5
I love the military; there is something to be said for a people who are always ready. Keith and I got married in March and were living in Germany by August of the same year. I learned a lot about the chain of command, the enlisted and the officers. I also learned what it means to be a part of a bigger cause. You have to make friends quickly, because you will need to depend on someone else for your safety for help because your spouse is subject to be gone; giving you only an hour notice, for two weeks. The story about the chaplain, should be anyone of us. We need to be ready to hear from God and be confident that our training, (time of prayer and studying the Word) has prepared us to be used of God.
I firmly believe that God has taken us through this time to make us ready to expect Him to use us in the days that lie ahead. We are going to be the answer to someone's prayers. We need to stay ready...
Departing Thought: The purpose of prayer is not to give orders to God; the purpose is to get orders from God.
