Scripture: "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven." Matthew 18:18
When I first started today's reading I pictured a microwave. The crack house did not become a coffee house in a few minutes; It took years. Today's society has a micro wave mentality. Most people cannot stick with anything that long. Mark Batterson said they must have prayed around that building ten thousand times over a five year period. That's a long time, most people would loose interest if they don't see what they are praying for happen after a few times. One thing I've learned about prayer during this 40 day challenge is, the person with the vision must stay before God, to keep it fresh, and constantly bring the vision before the people, with the same conviction God gave it to them. We've got to see our prayers answered in the spirit realm...
"... the goal of prayer is to discern what God wants, what's God wills. But if your prayer is in the will of God, then it is backed by the full authority of the King and His kingdom." In the midst of this challenge I am personally operating at a higher level of authority. I have to admit that I limited God with my limited expectation in this area before I began this book. Our personal development has a lot to do with how we moved in the spirit. But God's Word clearly states that we are to "renew our minds", and this challenge is proof that we can develop our minds on the things of God when we are more disciplined. Disciple is almost like curse word in today's society, but it is a requirement for Christian service, fasting is a discipline. Pastor Dan just showed us in the Word of God, "that somethings only come out by prayer and fasting"., he also showed us in the Word of God, if we don't fast (disciple) we have limited power. I do not want to forfeit what God has for me...
God's Word is the central point of prayer. In the old testament people literally bound themselves to the Word of God, by strapping the scripture to their body. Today we can bind the Word of God to our mind by memorization and meditating on it. The prayer team have been praying that God's Word would manifest in "miracles, signs and wonders" at RCC. If "God is lifted up He will draw all men unto Him".
If you want to get your prayer notarized, pray the Word...
Departing Thoughts: Agreeing with someone in prayer is like getting your prayer notarized.
