Aaron and Hur were holding his hands up--one on one side, one on the other. Exodus 17:12
: Prayer is the pen that writes history. Focus on the footnotes. Do what God is calling you to do. It may not make the headlines, but it will certainly touch God’s heart, be recorded in eternity, and affect others. I am thinking about the little Dutch boy who put his hand in the hole in the dike to keep the water from flooding the land. The boy obeyed and a nation was saved. God made the headlines.
I am thinking about the Bibles’ mention of “a certain woman” several times. I know that their names are not mentioned, but their stories are told, and their stories encourage my heart. There was a woman with an issue of blood . . .there was a woman who approached the unjust judge. . there was a woman who understood about the children’s bread. She did not let the fact that she was compared to a dog keep her from asking.
We hear the terms “behind every good man there is a woman.” I think it is usually a mother and/or a wife. But many more times it is a heart inclined to God who answers His call and prays for people they do not even know. They know that God knows and that is good enough for them to get busy praying.
If you are going to intercede for others, you better make sure others are interceding for you. We need a prayer covering. Here is my question: How do we make sure we have it?
If you intercede for others, make sure others are interceding for you.

This writing encourages my heart, as I realize that God has had me operating with a prayer covering. As I have stated before I took the position as prayer director by faith. I said yes, and trusted God to order my steps. I had the insight to ask a few ladies to intercede for me and my family. Over the next two years God had installed an Aaron and Hur, and I have to admit, ministry did become easier. It wasn't easy as it I didn't have to do anything. It became easier to seek the face of God, because someone else was responsible for Thursday prayer, someone else was responsible for events, and someone was solicited for this or that, and I was not involved in any of the transactions. I was free to hear from God.
I was free to fast and prayer, intercede for the pastors, leadership and get prayer strategies from God because I had someone holding up my arms, and I had intercessors praying for me.
God made sure I had my prayer covering...

Saturday I asked God: If I am interceding for others how do I make sure I have someone interceding for me? Well, He brought me an answer at a gathering I attended. One of the things we did was write a prayer request on paper. They were collected. We each randomly selected a folded paper, and we each selected one that was not our own. We have made a commitment to pray for each other for the month. From this experience I have learned, again, that He does give us the desires of our heart His way. God has a group of us praying for revival in each others' lives.
