Been trying to post since 4:30 I am taking this route.
Acts 10:4 Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God."
Here are some quotes and thoughts from reading this new chapter/strategy for the 40 Day Journey.
1. Few things leave a more lasting impression than hearing someone intercede for you by name.
2. Our prayers have no space or time limitations. God's ability exists outside of our four dimensions.
3, Our prayers are memorial offerings unto God. These are sacred moments. Each is a keepsake to Him.
4. Every prayer we utter is used to build a monument, a memorial to God. Our prayers are not perishable.
5. Prayers are a foundation of gold, silver, and costly stones.
6. Our prayers will not be forgotten. They will not go unanswered.
7. I, too, believe intercession is a part of the spiritual DNA of my family.
8, Our predominate prayer is that every member of our family will surrender their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
9. The beauty and maybe even the agony of prayer is that never know when our prayers may be answered, nor when or how we can be the answer
to someone else s prayer.
10. When we live by faith we will harvest prayers that may have been planted decades, centuries, or even millennia ago.
11. When we live by faith those memorial prayers can turn into crowns of glory.
12. Prayer offerings can be turned into praise offerings.
My prayed for my husband our entire marriage. He really responded to God's wooing after 25 years. He "really" received Jesus into his heart January 11, 2015. He had made a head assent, but January 11, 2015 he made a heart commitment. Even as I am typing this I have a renewed vigor to continue fervent prayer for those family members who do not have an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Labor Day weekend God showed me the answer to prayer when I found out that two of my sister had been baptized and received Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Had I not visited when God prompted me to come, I may not have known about their commitment because they live out of the region, and I am not often welcomed even into their home. But I am shouting the victory--that is three family members this year!
Keep praying. Keep circling.
Our prayer offerings dont't die when we do. God answers them forever."
