"O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God." Daniel 9:19 ESV
ASAP prayers and ALAT prayers--ASAP prayers tend to be short, sweet, and to the point. ALAT prayers, to me, tend to be the cry of God's heart. Mine are usually centered, circled around someone else's need or circumstance. A lot of my ASAP prayers are answered sometimes by a fairly simple adjustment--attitude, perspective, habits, etc. ALAT prayers generally have to do with destiny, life or death situations, spiritual resistance. I cannot change anyone's mind, heart, choice, etc., but God can.
Our most powerful prayers are hyperlinked to the promises of God.
I remember a school situation. I had a student that I just found very challenging. He just seemed to be a disrupter and a nuisance. I met with the parent. The short of this story is that it was not long before this student became very special to me. I believe the parent prayed for me, as well as the child. I noticed I had a heart change that I did not initiate or even seek. Heartfelt prayer does work; it just may not be in our timing.
Having done all to stand, stand, there, for the God results. The God solution. This is my play on words from Ephesians 6. We have heard some words since beginning this journey: prevail, audacity, tenacity, contend, crazy faith, circle. The all have a sense of continuity, continuing, going forth regardless of what it "looks" like. It points to warfare--not in our strength, but His perspective, from His victory. The battle is the Lord's. God never overpromises or underdelivers. "Be still and know that I am God."
God is never early. God is never late. God is always right on time."
