"The wind blows wherever it pleases." John 3:8
Yesterday, God did surprise my husband, Darrel. Darrel attended a gathering at which Bishop Tutor Bismarck (sp) was speaking. I was encouraging Darrel to pursue his healing. Darrel was prayed for by a host of people including the Pastor of the church, the worship leader, another pastor couple, other ladies and men who were present. I included this because Darrel was surprised by the move of God that had others praying for him. . .people Darrel did not know, but people who knew God, and prayed for him because they know God and they know that His will for Darrel is complete healing and wholeness. The word says He renews our youth. I am believing for that. . .we don't connect pain to youth. So. . .healing spring forth NOW! Lord, I ask you to surprise Darrel!
One of the things that stands out from the meeting is: " An intercessor who is offended has disqualified himself." This issue was addressed in yesterday's post/entry. We don't have to spend valuable time defending ourselves, Jesus and Holy Spirit are already circling us, interceding for us. Let's keep our hearts, mind, soul holy.
Lord, surprise us today. Help us to intensify in prayer and increase in Your Love. Our hearts are open and anticipating an exciting day of surprises.
God always has a holy surprise up His sovereign sleeve. Notice the last five letters r e i g n. . .reign?!

When I first read this post I wasn't sure if I wanted God to surprise me. As crazy as that may sound, it's the truth. I have had a lot of surprises in my life and unfortunately I only one sticks out as being something exciting. My best friend Susan gave me a surprise "sweet sixteen" birthday party, I was in tears.
Yet, when I think about God, the father, who is a great God, but I have been challenged in the area of Daddy God. This past week God has shown me, or let me rephrase this, I have been open to Daddy God's love and protect. He's always wanted to show me His love and care, but because of my experiences with my step-father, then in the introduction of my natural father, neither deposited good thing into my life, my view of the Father was distorted.
Daddy God has lovingly showed me that I can trust him. On last week I had experience after experience to trust Him, and lean not unto my own understanding, and He has shown Himself faithful.
I can now say Lord, surprise me today!
