Scripture: "Speak to the earth and it will teach you." Job 12:8
I love the way God has spoken to me in today's reading. Reading about George Washington Carver's dedication to his time with God was inspiring. The realization, that his daily discipline afforded him, not only a closer walk with God, but witty ideas and inventions. The God-idea that was downloaded to him during his time with God changed the dynamics of American agriculture.
Spending time with God always pays off. Yesterday I was challenged to wear my waders, if I'm praying for rain, an act of faith. Today I am challenged to pray the type of prayers that invokes God to move...I must pray His will be done in my life. I want to impact all areas He has placed me, with God ideas. (my family, my church, my job, my relationship) Those who are around me will take note of, and acknowledge Jehovah God because it will be obvious that I am not doing anything by myself. It is the grace of God in my life that empowers me to do all that I do. If people are inclined to think it's me, I'll be mindful to give Him the glory.
This is my first year teaching reading and I declare that God is giving me witty ideas to impact these 10th graders; the increase in scores will baffle those in the district. My students will embrace learning, they will put down their phone, and take up reading, which will empower their future. In Jesus' name!
